Senate Finance approves tax measure, will reconvene
The Senate Finance Committee gave its approval Tuesday morning to a bill that would reduce the individual income tax. SB 1437, by Sen. Mike Mazzei, R-Tulsa, received a do pass as amended recommendation with its title stricken during the morning session. The 11 to 5 vote was split along party lines with Republican members supporting the bill and Democrat senators opposing it.
