OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Four Oklahoma companies are on an annual list of the 100 best companies to work for in the U.S. The list compiled for Fortune magazine includes Devon Energy Corp. at No. 20 and Chesapeake Energy Corp. at No. 34. Both are based in Oklahoma City. Devon is the highest-ranking energy company on the list. Devon and Chesapeake are each on the list for the third straight year. American Fidelity Assurance Co. of Oklahoma City is listed at
No. 35 while Tulsa-based convenience store company QuikTrip Corp. is No. 41. Both have been on the list each year since 2006. Fortune partners with the Great Place to Work Institute to conduct extensive employee surveys that are used as the basis for the list.
