According to a study by a pair of health care advocacy groups, more than 50,000 Oklahoma small businesses are now eligible for tax credits to help pay for health insurance for their workers. The credits apply to companies that employ 25 people or less. State officials confirm that the new federal tax credit works in conjunction with the Insure Oklahoma Program which provides 60% of the cost of health care insurance. The federal health care credit is 35% and by 2014 will rise to 50%.
