OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A $60 million stalemate in the Oklahoma Senate over a proposed fix for this year's budget could lead to furloughs of Highway Patrol troopers and state prison workers if not resolved soon.

Republicans and Democrats remained at odds Tuesday over whether to include $2.5 million to fund senior nutrition centers across the state. Democrats are angered the agreement between the Democratic governor and GOP leadership in the House and Senate did not include supplemental funding for the senior meals program.
Late Monday, Senate Democrats voted in unison against two budget bills totaling $60 million that were part of an overarching agreement to fill a shortfall in the state budget and ease cuts for education and public safety.
