The proposals by Senate President Pro Tem Glenn Coffee passed the Senate Judiciary Committee and now will go before the full Senate. Among the proposed changes are limiting attorney fees, decreasing the number of Workers' Compensation Court judges, limiting the judges' terms and exempting employers from liability for off-the-job injuries. The proposal to limit attorney fees would have to be approved by Oklahoma voters. Coffee says the measures would encourage more businesses to
locate or expand in Oklahoma.
