About Oklahoma Votes 2010
Welcome to the Oklahoma Votes 2010 web page. Join us here and on OETA for full coverage of the Oklahoma general election on November 2nd.
Â
The 2010 election in Oklahoma will feature more open statewide positions than at any time in the last 16 years. The positions of Governor, Lt. Governor, Treasurer, Attorney General, Insurance Commissioner, Labor Commissioner, Auditor and Inspector, and State Superintendent of Public Instruction and U.S. Senate headline the statewide ballot. In addition, there are races in four of Oklahoma's five congressional seats, and 48 races in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and State Senate. Eleven state questions are on the ballot, along with local races for District Attorney, Associate District Judge, District Judge, judicial retention, and various county offices.
Throughout this election season, the OKLAHOMA NEWS REPORT (ONR) will provide news on the candidates, the issues and the races that will shape the state’s future, each weeknight at 6:30 p.m. and the next day on-line and on OETA's Okla channel.Â
Each week leading up to the General Election, Oklahoma Forum will feature discussions with the candidates for statewide offices. Oklahoma Forum can be seen at 1:00 p.m. on Sundays and is repeated numerous times each week on OETA Okla. Also, you can watch each Oklahoma Forum program on-line.
On election night, OETA will provide continuous statewide election coverage, including the latest results, features, expert analysis and interviews with candidates and strategists from watch parties and other events.
